Music at Shiloh Old Site
Music is an important part of our life at Shiloh Old Site. Our choirs sing in a variety of traditional and contemporary styles, but always the purpose is to give expression to the faith and the hope that moves us forward in our spiritual journey.
Donna Armstead-Woolfolk serves as our overall minister of music.
Our Mass Choir sings at all of our early 8 a.m. Sunday services. It also sings at some of our 11 a.m. Sunday services. The Mass Choir is directed and accompanied by Donna Woolfolk, plus some additional musicians on a rotating basis, including, as needed, Tyrone Adams, Gabriel Armstead, James Pretlow, Nathan Silver, John Frank Smith, and others. New members are welcome. Rehearsals are typically on Satruday mornings.
Our Senior Choir typically sings at the 11 a.m. service on the first Sunday of the month. The Senior Choir is directed by Anita Scott. Accompanists include Jeneen Butler and Joan Olson. New members are welcome. Rehearsals are typically on Thursday late afternoons or early evenings.
Our Men's Chorus typically sings at the 11 a.m. service on the second Sunday of the month. The Men's Chorus is directed by Karen Bumbrey and accompanied by Phyllis Nelson. New members are welcome. Rehearsals are typically on Monday evenings.
Our Youth Choir typically sings at the 11 a.m. service on the fourth Sunday of the month. The Youth Choir is directed and accompanied by Donna Armstead-Woolfolk. New members are welcome. Send an email to Donna Armstead-Woolfolk by clicking here to learn the latest rehearsal schedule.
Our L.A. Davies Chorale typically sings at the 11 a.m. service on the fifth Sunday of the month. The L.A. Davies Chorale is directed by John Easley and accompanied by Joan Olson. New members are welcome. Rehearsals are typically on Tuesday later afternoons.
