This is a slightly abbreviated version of the 11 a.m. Sunday morning service at Shiloh Baptist Church (Old Site) in Fredericksburg, Virginia, November 30, 2014. This was the first Sunday after a grand jury in Missouri decided not to indict a white police officer who had shot and killed an unarmed African American teenager. The subject of Pastor Aaron L. This is the first sermon by the Rev. Aaron L. Dobynes after being elected the pastor of Shiloh Baptist Church (Old Site) in Fredericksburg, Virginia. It was preached at the church on Senior Citizens Day, May 18, 2014. The Rev. Dobynes begins his sermon by thanking and embracing the Rev. Lawrence A. Davies, the church's pastor emeritus, who served as senior pastor from 1962 through 2012. He then thanks and embraces Ambassador Pamela Bridgewater-Awkard (ret.), granddaughter of the pastor before Rev. Davies, namely, the Rev. B. H. Hester, who led the church from 1921 through 1961. Finally, he thanks the Rev. Morris Oliver, who served on an interim basis in the gap between senior pastors. The Rev. Dobynes' sermon text was drawn from Exodus 17.

This is a slightly abbreviated version of our 11 a.m. Homecoming service on Sunday, October 11, 2015. The video begins with congregational prayers and songs. In the main part of the service, the Mass Choir provides music. There's also a duet by Andrea SpringerCollins and her daughter Vanessa. Later in the service, the sermon is shared by Pastor Aaron L. This is a slightly abbreviated version of our 11 a.m. service on July 10, 2016. This was the Sunday after two more young African American men were gunned down by police and five police officers were gunned down by a deranged individual in Dallas, Texas.
Minister Ritta Armstead presides, our Men's Chorus provides moving music, and our pastor, the Rev. Aaron L. Dobynes, delivers a strong sermon on those things that need to anchor our lives "in times like these" so that we might channel our rightful anger in constructive ways.
