The congregation of Shiloh Baptist Church (Old Site) celebrates the faithful ministry of the Rev. Luerene Perkins, who prayerfully and compassionately served among us until her passing on February 3, 2022, at age 92. As a blessed child of God, she had served as a blessing to many of us.

Because of covid-related limitations in our own building, her funeral service was held at Fredericksburg Baptist Church, with our pastor, the Rev. Aaron L. Dobynes, presiding. Other participants included our pastor emeritus, the Rev. Lawrence A. Davies; our pastoral associate, the Rev. Julia Rogers; and our former interim pastor, the Rev. Morris Oliver. An ensemble of singers from Shiloh Old Site provided the music.
