We invite your generous support of Shiloh Baptist Church (Old Site)’s important project to preserve and improve the interior of this historic landmark.

Shiloh’s history as independent congregation begins in 1854. And our current sanctuary, built in 1890, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Over many tumultuous eras, we have served as an important cornerstone, providing hope and strength for many in the Fredericksburg community. From our historic location on the banks of the Rappahannock River, we have functioned as a vibrant place of worship, education, and civic action.

Unfortunately, our historic structure now needs significant interior renovations and improvements in order to remain a vibrant place for future generations.
A careful evaluation of the critically needed work — involving drywall and ceiling repairs, interior painting, flooring repairs and replacements, plumbing and restroom renovations and improvements, significant electrical and lighting upgrades, important mechanical and HVAC infrastructure improvements, extensive interior window caulking, improved stairway railings, and enhanced sanctuary aesthetics and acoustics — has led to an estimated cost of $221,500.
We are now earnestly trying to raise the needed funds.
Your support of this project is vital. Together, we can serve as a light in our community for many decades to come.
You can provide a secure on-line contribution for this project by using the form shown below.
Thank you in advance for your support!

Welcome to a spiritually empowered haven of hope
Since 1854, we at Shiloh have tried to manifest the spirit of Christ, faithfully serving others as God’s liberating and transforming word. We’re located at 801 Sophia Street, on the river in downtown Fredericksburg, Virginia 22401.
