Although all of us at Shiloh Old Site mourn the loss of Thurman Brooks’ warm friendship and wry humor, we can’t help but remember with joy the many ways that he touched our lives — and the lives of countless young men whom he encouraged, guided, and influenced for good through his long leadership of BSA Scout Troop 46 at Shiloh Baptist Church (Old Site) in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

Video of the private service celebrating his life and gifts can be seen below. Due to the ongoing pandemic, the service was physically open only to immediate family.

Donations in memory of Thurman Brooks can be submitted online. They will be used exclusively to support the BSA Scout troop at Shiloh Old Site.
