Minister Mary Edwards is a lifelong resident of Fredericksburg, Virginia, whose passion for serving God and His people has been evident throughout her life. She attended Norfolk State University and later pursued theological studies at Cornerstone Bible College, where she earned a Micro-Degree in Advanced Biblical Studies. Committed to growing in her knowledge of God’s Word and strengthening her ministry preparation, she plans to continue her education with the goal of obtaining a Master’s degree in Biblical Studies.
She currently serves as a member of the ministerial staff at Shiloh Baptist Church (Old Site), where she is actively involved in several areas of ministry. She serves as chairperson of the Foreign Missions Ministry, helping to support and advance outreach efforts beyond the church walls. She also serves as a facilitator for the New Members Class, assisting individuals as they begin their spiritual journey and become connected to the body of Christ.
In August 2024, Minister Edwards was licensed into the Gospel ministry and preached her initial sermon, officially stepping into a calling that God had been cultivating in her heart for many years. Since that time, she has remained committed to preaching, teaching, and encouraging others through the life-changing power of God’s Word.
Minister Edwards has a special passion for helping others discover their God-given identity and purpose. Through devotionals, mentorship, and ministry opportunities, she seeks to inspire believers to deepen their relationship with Christ and walk confidently in the calling God has placed upon their lives.
Above all, Minister Edwards considers it both a privilege and an honor to serve the Lord. Her greatest desire is not personal recognition, but to be a faithful vessel through whom God can work—sharing His love, extending His grace, and pointing others toward Jesus Christ. Guided by faith, humility, and a servant’s heart, she remains committed to advancing God’s Kingdom and making a lasting impact for His glory.

Welcome to a spiritually empowered haven of hope
Since 1854, we at Shiloh have tried to manifest the spirit of Christ, faithfully serving others as God’s liberating and transforming word. We’re located at 801 Sophia Street, on the river in downtown Fredericksburg, Virginia 22401.

Our historic building on the river in Downtown Fredericksburg is in need of critically important interior repairs and renovations, which will enable us to better serve as an ongoing beacon of hope for all who are in need of Christ’s love and grace.
